REFUGIO LOS CUERNOS is a simple yet comfortable hikers' shelter in Chile's Torres del Paine National Park. It stands at the feet of its namesake, an astounding granite and sedimentary rock formation called Los Cuernos del Paine, “The Horns of Blue,” named for its resemblance to a pair of horns. The lodge sits at the base of Los Cuernos in a fairly remote area, and offers plenty of peace and tranquillity. It accommodates 32 people distributed among four rooms, each with four bunk beds for a total of eight beds per room. The lodge has a communal bathroom with hot water. |

REFUGIO PEHOE is a remote lodge located on the shores of Lake Pehoé in Chile's Torres del Paine National Park. It is accessible only by the park's trekking paths, or by catamaran. The lodge can accommodate up to 60 people, in ten rooms with three beds each. All of the rooms have an excellent view of Lake Pehoé, the heights of Paine Grande, the Valle del Francés, and the east side of the Cuernos del Paine.
Each room is equipped with comfortable beds, and drawers for storing equipment. A safe deposit box is available to keep valuable belongings. Shared hygienic facilities on the first floor offer washbasins, toilets, and hot water showers, separated for men and women. |
